Rails still dropping batteries since RIB update?

Just picked up my 2022 Rail 9.7. Confirmed it has the updated RIB spacer, and the plates, lock, etc, all appear torqued and centered.

Since the RIB spacer update, have there been many cases of the ‘self ejecting batteries’? Or does the fix seem to have eliminated the issue?

Trying to decide if I’m going to run a strap, and live with a scuffed ring around my down tube, or skip it, and roll the dice.
