In my Rail 9.7 I replaced one of the 6800 bearings in the bottom shock mount as it was seized. Upon removing the bearing it functioned normally. I then put in a new 6800 Enduro bearing and had the same issue with it being seized. It seems the bearing clearance in the frame is too tight. What is the best course of action to get this fixed? The bike is now 3 years old so would Trek warranty factory defects?

The bearing is seized when there isn't any shock mounted.

What method did you use to install the bearing?

We're you able to get this resolved? I am experiencing the same issue.

I just checked my bearings and lower shock were essentially frozen, removed the bearings and both seem totally fine. The bearing pockets appear to be too tight. the bearings measure 18.98mm and pockets appear to be 18.94ish mm.

In the pic, the pockets do seem like they might be galled.
