Problem charging focus ebike

The charging button flashing blue and beeping every 10secs put charger on and it flashes red and not charging. I put spare battey on with full charge but it doesn't recognise it

I have just had a call from the local cycle shop they reckon it needs a new battery. He said he will contact Germany

Will take at least two weeks as they come via road.
