Hey folks

Last couple of rides I've been on I have found that if I pedal once it doesn't feel like I get a lot of torque but then when I back off for a second and pedal again it feels ridiculous with the amount of power along with enhanced motor noise. Even in trail and eco.

I'm not going to be able to drop the bike off to the lbs or ride it for a while but just wondering if anyone has experience a similar issue.

Check the assist acceleration and shuttle settings.

If the bike is fairly new the battery and motor may have "run in" giving more power and response than you were used to. Reset to suit. The motor will naturally make a little more noise the harder it is working. Sounds like " acceleration " is set too high. I have mine on zero.

It's more the 2nd input that I'm putting in. If it was all the time then I'd agree. Gonna be a while before I can check it anyway.

Power delivery is software driven using an algorithm of input from speed torque and cadence sensors. The bike is moving faster on your second input.

I have mine set at 15/30, 50/100, 100/100....eco/trail/boost..zero acceleration, zero shuttle. Rarely used boost except on really steep climbs....eco on the flat , fast singletrack and steep declines, trail for climbing or variable singletrack. Dont know about range on those settings but never used more than 70% on 4 hour rides which is about as long as I typically ride in one session.....that equates to about 30 miles.

I’ve noticed a couple of times on mine that when I’ve stopped pedalling the motor keeps going as if I’m peddling, sometimes up to 5 secs extra which is a bit scary on corner

There is bound to be a decay period rather than a sudden cut off. It is more pronounced on higher ledal assist settings and if the rider torque was high. The motor is too small to have a perfectly linear power delivery

I have had the same problem. Lbs tried changing the speed sensor cable first but that didn’t work so I now have a new motor. Just ridden it this morning and seems ok

Sounds like the torque sensor is playing up. Mine did this as well as a few other unwanted things.
