Meta Power 29 2018 with little sister meta29 (or bigger sister???)
changes on the power:
debon air upgrade to 160mm front
updated brakes to magur mt7, wasn't happy so changed to SAINT with hope disc
carbon fatbar 35mm 800 with 35mm stem
recently changed tyres to dhf and dhr II with 29x2.6
only thing to get working is the dropper post... changed to a bike yoke lever, and from this moment on the dropper post is not working any more

As long as people are fine with me posting a HT here's my pic of my META on the South Downs near Ditchling Beacon. I did run out of batteries that day (1 bar / forced eco mode) but I needed to be taught a lesson on battery management, and where better than a location that's downhill all the way home.

Us Meta Power owners are an open and liberal bunch but there’s no getting away from the fact that’s not a Commencal ?
Haha sorry I did not notice it was in a dedicated category, that'll teach me for navigating through "What's new" all the time. If it burns your eyes or breeds resentment I would be happy to remove it ?

I had a one-in-a-million encounter with forum member Ted Turbine when I was on a bike ride at the weekend. I was in an area of Worthing I haven't been to in years and decided to find a route up to Cissbury Ring on the South Downs. The A24/A27 roundabout looked too busy so I made it round to the pedestrian crossing where another cyclist was waiting. A quick glance at each other's bikes which looked familiar and we realised we had spoken to each other in the Commencal forum. A minute either way and I would have missed him.

Anyway, he led the way showing me the best route to Cissbury and then we followed the South Downs Way to the River Adur. Great chap and I hope to go for a ride at some point with him again over the Brighton Downs. Obviously we took some pics of the bikes:

Yes that was a lucky encounter indeed John !

It was really great to bump into you and ride for a bit. I'll be in touch so at the very least I can learn your black belt ways of battery management :D

How’s does it ride, the Meta? - and great to see a Clash too.

Meta 29, with my Scott Scale in attendance.

Went for a 4-up family ride around Llandegla blue, then back again 2 days later with just BIL for the red/black.

Was the first proper trail ride, and what a blast. Bike felt sure, keen and loads of fun. Was happy to hop (to my ability) and even managed to clear some of the smaller stuff. Can't wait to get back on it!
