How do you like the Martello tire?

The Martello runs very well in the back. I love the round shape of the tire. He is very good-natured and does not suddenly break out. It is particularly good for hard terrain and rocks or roots, even in the wet. He is not quite as good in muddy conditions because the profile fills up quickly with mud and the self-cleaning of the profile is not so good. I especially love the graphene layer. The tire is very puncture-resistant with less weight compared to Maxxis or Schwalbe . I ride it with a rimpact insert because I also jump a lot. The damping is also very good with the 29x2.6.

UPDATE

Currently wanting to take the bike and smash it with a sludge hammer and film it to show Specialized what I think of their company currently.

Loved Specialized for 20 years and thought the world of them until this bike.

Blew a belt on my bike 3 weeks ago and the local bike shop finally got back to me saying I need to buy an entire motor at my expense.

Contacted Specialized and they have not been any help.

$12,500 E bike with only 700 km with a $20 blown belt wasting space in my garage.

I can't just get a new belt even though Specialized knows that they have major issues with the belt that came in my bike.

The process I have been going threw is an absolute joke.

You can't just replace a wear part and instead need an entire motor.

ADVICE BEFORE ANYONE WITH A SPECIALIZED PRODUCT SELL IT BEFORE THEY SCREW YOU OVER AS THEY HAVE TO ME

IF THIS MAKES ONE PERSON NOT BUY A TURBO LEVO IT WILL MAKE ME HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!

Good to vent.

Also good to take a breath now that you have vented and acknowledge that the likelihood of Specialized refusing warranty on this is tremendously small so there is a breakdown in communication somewhere. Talk to the bike shop again and if they are idiots take it to another Specialized dealer. It'll get sorted....but not if you swing hammers.

Your LBS is dropping the ball. Go over their heads and straight to Specialized. They'll make it right

I did go to Specialized directly and they haven’t been anymore help I’m thinking I’ll never buy one of their products again in my life and make sure every person that asks me about them know how I strongly feel.

I sold people on 15 Giant bikes in 3 years just because of how well they treated me

If you need to spend $1500 every 700 km there is clearly a issue with a companies product.

The fact that they won’t stand behind it when they know of their belt and motor problems is just pitiful.

If your car needs a oil change you don’t need to replace the entire engine, yet this is Specialized logic with their belts.

This is sad and poor business

Get the new motor. Let it go. 2500 single track miles on mine.

You can purchase a replacement belt here. € 89,90 including seals etc. The even sell the sprug clutch (?) and the 0.2 Nm-tool needed for adjusting the belt's tension.

What kind of dropper post cable clamping is this?
I thought the cable must start at the bottom of the dropper, inside the frame...I like the way you did it and I'd like to know how you did it.

Please have a look at the manufacturer's homepage vecnum.com. Here you can find out everything you want to know.

I have seen at least 6 motors replaced due to the belt issue on multiple friends bikes. Take your bike to another dealer, the one you are talking to right now is crap.

Also understand that due to CV19 Specialized is not as responsive as normal. The people that are working still, are working from home and their systems are not setup for it. A lot of stuff is getting lost and even dealers are waiting a week in some cases for a response.

that’s nice!
would you mind to tell us some details?
Brakes? Magura? do they work fine with those discs?

which you like best?

A work in progress.......was a base model 2019 Levo FSR, size XL.

Just fitting SRAM X01 AXS........cassette & chain haven’t arrived yet, so incomplete. Will fit derailleur etc when I’ve got all the bits from the postman!
AXS dropper fits lovely with 170mm drop.
Spank wheels have Cushcore fitted.
Stealth Graphics.
Uberbike braided hoses with Shimano Zee brakes! So much nicer than the Magura MT5s they replace.

Love the minimalist cockpit! Going to swap out the black spirally cable tidy thingy for something neater.....but delighted so far!

Suffered a Grade 5 AC Joint separation recently, surgery just over 2 weeks ago.......so unfortunately going to be a while until I get to ride the Levo again......but it’ll be epic when I can
