Planet bike and bosch gen 4

Has anyone used a planet bike derestricter device on a bosch gen 4 bike?

Has it been successful for many number of miles?

My understanding from the website is it a mechanical derestricter and tricks the computer into its going slower than it is, does the bosch system have any other way of reading the speed that may ping up a fault or problem?

Which bike are you gonna use it on? Are you talking about the Planet3? From what I have heard as long as you don't derestrict over a 1.6 ratio the computer can't detect it.

I would think that the physical fitment would be more of an issue than the functionality although I’d also be concerned about reliability in the current UK weather conditions. How long will it last when full of mud/water/gravel?

Why not just go for the new Speedbox? Pricey but I'm guessing it will be more reliable than that plastic thing.
