I am not the best tester of tyres by any means, but Pirelli sent me some of their new EMTB tyres and I made a video on them:

I like the idea of a faster rolling but heavy duty rear tyre

Fast, it doesn't slip. Great for my ride. Roads 20% and terrain 80%. There are no brutal descents in this area. Forest trails. I haven't used it in the wet yet.

SS, Rock razor and Slaughters are all available in DH casings...
and all have the added bonus of not having their tread patern designed by this new guy at Pirelli

No I know there are options out there, just made me think I have been toying with swapping out my rear tyre for a while

that they are summer tires. They do not have plugs like champagne corks.

You obviously think that some new guy at Pirelli isn't qualified to design tyres but you're qualified to say so!

I replaced the tires with Eddy Current. It was impossible to ride in the field. Now maximum satisfaction. Eddy is what I was looking for.
