Peartune query

Hi All,
I’m running the latest firmware on my 2019 Sommet VR motor and wondering if anyone can confirm whether or not the peartune still works ??

Hi,

Just sent the question to Peartune about the subject. No reply yet, I dont know how responsive they are on these queries!?

I installed "still on" version yesterday. I am running Steps 8000e with the latest firmware. Based on the short test run I already got one error: W011 – Cannot detect travel speed. Trying today with longer test if this happens more often. Keep you posted.

Got the reply. Peartune will not work with latest Shimano firmware.

I had this problem with my Peartune and had to uninstall the latest firmware updates. Luckily I have the Shimano SMPCE1 PC interface so was able to do it.

A bit fiddly but the Peartune on my E-Sommet now works as before and assist stops at 30mph

Only problem is I can't get the latest firmware updates as it will stop the Peartune working again. I do still have the 'Low, Medium, High' adjustment in Eco mode though and it works.
