Orbea x Avinox Rumours

Joxelito joxelito....zeoze esanberbak esantzak, bestela ixilik hobe 😉🫣
Bikerson, you're undoubtedly the one who knows the most and has seen the most of the new WILD out of all of us here (not counting Rob), and you know it. Spill the beans, we'll protect you.

Should we start a New Orbea Rise Rumors Thread, maybe there we´ll be save from another Power/Restrictions/The good, the bad & the ugly discussion 🤪
I could actually hit you with a few educated rumours about the new Rise but I'll spare you that. The info that I've given on the Wild is legit though and will be confirmed on the 18th when the global launch occurs.

Unfortunately I think they are going to be quite hard to get hold of (initially at least). It sounds like DJI haven't got close to the scale of production of the Avinox system that they promised so all manufacturers that are using it are struggling to get hold of them for now. It'll hopefully be less of an issue as time goes on and DJI get their shit together.
Orbea told us that they'll be limiting the number of Wilds that individual shops can order so that there will be a better spread of bikes available in different places, not sure how long that policy will last though.

I'm surprised by hearing that DJI / Avinox are not being able to deliver the promised volume, all the hype and they're not even able to catch the whole opportunity.

This is giving room for other manufacturers to respond for MY28 bikes and they all know what they have to do now.

Can't wait to see the new Wild builds & prices, the new Rallon builds/prices are very interesting and I hope Orbea can follow that path.

It does look like most of the Avninox bikes announced on the motor release are not really 2026 bikes as they're not going to be delivered until after summer.

Will the Bosch version keep the current frame or will it get a redesign? I think the current version is still stuck with the 750wh battery?

Just an educated guess, but since Bosch only offers a 'fat' 800wh battery, pretty sure the Wild TR will use the existing frame (maybe cable ports added) that the current battery choices of 600/ 750 will remain.
I'd also say that imo trail/ AM riders with the Bosch are probably better served by the 600wh battery whereas the Avinox being so powerful and more suited for true mountain duty, should really have the 800wh battery.
The good news is that the TR version with a 600wh battery, trail tires & a 36mm fork should be able to get pretty darn light in a high end spec.
Gosh, I hope that Orbea build an ISO3 bash guard mount into their Avinox frame.

What I really wish Orbea would do is offer true ala carte bike building when custom ordered.
You select your preferred motor system, which frame material, which battery, which paint scheme color, then each component one by one with an upcharge associated with each component.
From base Aluminum frame only all of the way up to the most loaded that you can get.

Battery options on the LT will be 800wh or 600wh.

"We can't/shouldn't do anything because the most extreme example is absurd."

Not a real argument for or against anything.
A hero of mine who has since passed used to practice the concept of “being absurd to point out absurdity.”

If slowing people down is a noble cause for the sake of safety; why not even be more safe? This exercise hopefully makes people think about proportionally and reasonableness.

A different time, and different motor will make such a decision go over like a lead balloon. Its Orbea’s reputation and bottom line at stake. It’ll at least be interesting to see. I wish Orbea only the worst if they do make such a unilateral move. Let’s hope they don’t because I’m legitimately considering a Wild.
Wishing them only the worst? What happened to simply letting the market decide? Why the vitriol? Plenty of others to buy right?
