hi, i was looking for a new ebike and i came across the orbea wild h20 2023 which is on sale on jenson for less than 4k, i´m aware that the suspension is rubish but even upgrading that i would have the bike for less than 5k which i think is a good price for this bike.
i would like to know your opinion on this purchase

I saw that as well. Killer deal, when all You need to upgrade would be suspension and maybe brakes. FYI I’ve had good success getting Jenson to knock off even more when you give them a call/text.

Hard to fault. Yeah the forks are a bit meh... but you can get a set of 36s used for not much money and brakes are all down to personal choice anyway.

Similar-ish deals in europe, I would personally aim for the M20 2024 which I can see at 5200 instead of 7300, my LBS has one for 5800. 2023 model is 4800, but the fork needs to be binned. Also not sure how much I like th eidea of the battery sitting in storage for 2+ years.

Generally speaking, the 20 (both M and H) got way better suspension in 2024, it is worth seeking those ones out. I also saw some deals on the 2024 M10 down to 5800, which is a huge discount, a much bigger % than others.

The non removable battery is pretty much the main thing stopping me, headset cable routing doesn't help either...

I got an H30 out the door under 4k in a medium.
I've been on a 2020 Heckler, fantastic bike but it has its limitations I wanted bigger battery for longer rides and or an ability to use an extender that in their genius Santa Cruz couldn't be bothered with. I expect to have to send the motor out for service next year, no idea what that will cost, how long it will take or who to send it to yet, so when I saw these Jenson deals I figured I'd take adv. now.
1st thing I noticed was the cockpit, the seat tube angle is SOO much more vertical, even with a longer wheel base and longer reach on this frame, the cockpit felt WAY cramped like i was on a small frame. I swapped on a 50mm riser and a 10mm longer stem and what a difference! cockpit dialed.
I went on an upgrade tear after finding some killer deals on new/used/open box parts:
-XTR shifter and derailleur
-Lewis LV4 brakes
-RF era carbon riser
-Fox Factory 38 170mm (pretty sure the 38 is a bit lighter than the RS silver with steel stantions I took off)
-Fox Factory Float X2
-Carbon fiber wheelset: Hunt Proven front, custom carbon I9 rear
-titanium bolt conversion
-220/200mm Hope floating CL rotors.
-XT 12 sp. cogset
-Powermore 250kw battery extender
-E13 carbon crankset, 36t Hope direct mount chainring

I have a bit less than $7,200 into it. It's down to about 51.5 52# from 55+? The heckler is the CC carbon frame and completely customized and is about 47# The Wild is a freekin beast.

FYI. unfort this model w the Cx Gen 4 motor does not get the power upgrade, u must have the gen 5.
