Orbea Rise tire width

Hi,

I just ordered Two Orbea Rise and want to change the tires to Schwalbe Magic Mary 2,6 if possible. Do any of you ride 2,6 wide tires and can give me a Feedback if it works good or not?

A few on here have put 2.6 on the rear but it’s tight I think it would rub if you went out in mud. Max is supposed to be 2.5 on rear, I have just put the 2.4 dissector in the back and a 2.6 dhf on front.

Thanks, that helps a lot! I cant find the threads talking about tires for the Rise. Can you link to one of them? Do you have a experience with a good tire setup for wet, slippery trails? I live i Norway an er have a lot of rain this time of year.

I’ve 2.6 on the front, I thought max actually was 2.4 on the back, I’m actually changing to 2.4 / 2.4 mainly as I’m trying skinwall tyres nexts just for the look of them more than anything!

The blue papers for rise says max 2.5. For winter have 2.6MM up front & 2.4 BB for rear currently have 2.4 bontrager XR4i upfront & 2.6NN in 27.5 flavour although just swapped shock back to 140mm travel (TTX coil) but not ridden it yet

2.6 DHF 2.4 DHR no inserts on the lighter wheelsets trail stuff (although I do wonder about the rocks I’m hitting!) and 2.4 x2 MM/inserts on the skinwall heavier days for the rougher XC stuff etc, I’ll or having a range extender anyway so given up on weight for these days out

Remember that tire size labels are not accurate for most companies. Just because it is labeled 2.6 does not mean it measures 2.6. The result is that you have to find others who have actually tried a particular tire or end up with a garage full of tires that don't fit. Most tires measure smaller than their labels.
