Hi,

I have tried searching far and wide for this but, I couldn't find anything.

After a very muddy ride on Sunday and, cleaning the bike, I noticed that the vents/holes on the plastic skid plate were completely full of crud.

It looks like it is held in place by two small screws but, after removing those it didn't look like it would pull down easily and, being a new bike and emtb'er, I didn't want to use brute force.

Has anyone done this to clear all the crap out/is it possible?

As a follow up in case anyone else wants to know. Pivot confirmed that it is just the two screws which need removing and then the plate should swing down. But, they did say it's firmly in there so may need some gentle coxing and the use of a plastic tyre lever maybe needed.

I tried this but bottled it as I wasn't happy with the amount of leverage I was putting in and I was worried about causing damage and not being able to get it back in. They said that was understandable and took the suggestion to consider making it easier for customers on future models.

So, for now it's a long pipe cleaner/hydration tube cleaner wand/thing to get any much/debris out.
