Just had a replacement E8000. Is the old one worth anything or should I put it ut for the scrap man?

There might be some useful spares could be harvested, depends what was wrong with it?

3640 miles & they said torque sensor was goosed.

When I opened mine up to re-grease it etc, there were plenty of gears and circuit boards that might have been useful to keep an old motor going.

In terms of value though, no idea.

My plan was always to spend £5-600 on a new E8000 should mine give up out of warranty, but the thing just keeps on going!

Why not open it up and practice on it? There is a seriously long thread on here all about repairing an e8000 motor. It has all the tricks and learning points, lots of photos.

You never know, you might end up with a spare motor. :D

I might be looking in buying it if you propose a decent price mate. Drop me a dm if interested :)

I sold my E8000 on fleabay last july for £145. The torque sensor failed in under 600 miles. I split the motor and took good pics for ebay so you could see the condition of the gears etc. It didn't take too long to sell if I recall. Ignore usual chancers, low bids. swap xbox etc.;)
