According to BIKERUMOR! the official Specialized Levo 4 EVO link has a $70 retail. Interesting price considering the Cascade Components Long Shock link is $370. Admittedly the Cascade link is machined and more trick, but $300 is a pretty big delta.

Cascade LS Link uses a longer stroke shock 230x65 to achieve the 270mm travel; while the EVO link uses a 230x62.5 shock to do the same. EVO link's larger average leverage ratio implies less progression. It will be interesting to learn about the difference in kinematics between the two.

The Levo 4 EVO Shock Extension, Part No.: S256300003, $69.99 is now on the us website, can't purchase quite yet. It is too bad that 230x62.5 isn't as common as a 230x65. I have a 230x65, how bad would an extra 2.5mm be on this link?

Cascade has more progression for faster, more aggressive riders. More bottom out resistance, at the expense of rider strength. Longer stroke means more dampening at less clicker turns (so you can run a bit less dampening and still not bottom)
Specialized link will be more linear for a smoother, softer feel. A more comfortable design for most, not all.

If you charge hard all the time you’ll like the CC link heavier progression.
If you occasionally push it but aren’t as fast, the new Spesh link and shock will be fine.

300$ is a lot of dough……to some.

I can’t stress enough, my Cascade/EXT combo is one of the most magical combos for pushing hard in rough stuff.
I love the squish sound. It’s like the shock is cheering while we descend🥰
I have never ridden anything like it.

Now In stock. Ordered from specialized today to pair with a float x2 in 62.5. Waiting on a fox 180 air shaft.
Not sure where you’re located but word on the street is @SP SUSPENSION here in Arizona might have an air shaft in stock.
