55M - I’ve been riding a few years but I’m a fairly average rider. I stick to my local single tracks and there are lots of great trails to choose from in FL. I can ride most black diamonds but I don’t jump at all and try reallll hard to stay upright and off the dirt. At my age, things tend to take longer to heal. I am fairly comfortable on most obstacles and drops.
Looking to purchase my 1st e-bike. I took a little time off with life stuff and feel like I lost all my fitness… I’m a Clydesdale so I could probably stand to lose 20 or 30 pounds anyway. Trying to regain my fitness is tough. I feel like all my rides are in the 180 heart rate range lol. I’m currently on a really nice ibis Ripley AF.
Strongly considering the Amflow PR but having to wait till August or September is significantly discouraging, which means I lose the whole summer from writing on a new E bike. I could probably pick up a PL which is likely still above my rider pay grade skill wise, but the PR just gets such great reviews. Plus I do like the heart rate compatibility with it.
I know there’s a lot of discussion about regulations, etc. and I’m still trying to learn more about that especially with Seth’s Bike Hacks video with the New Jersey regulations… Do we feel like there’s chances that this could affect the amflow ebike in the future? I’d hate to drop 5K on a bike only to find out a lot of trails are going to outlaw it down the road.
Thanks for the addition to the group!!
