No seal around battery?

So taken the battery off my rail once or twice but only really had a good look today and noticed there is no seal at all around the battery housing. I’m assuming mine isn’t missing and they are all the same?

My Focus Jam² has no seal around the powertube either. Gets dusty in there!

Yeah it’s a bit worrying. I guess there is a reason for it.

No seal on mine. I don’t think it matters; any liquid would drain around the battery terminal gap and out the bottom. No reason to need it fully sealed I think.
