Newbie. But which bike

Yes, Shimano improved the cut-off with the firmware updates. It used to be on/off and while there is no noticeable internal resistance in the motor it still felt like you hit a wall. Now, it’s a very smooth transition and hardly noticeable.
I test rode the Levo a couple of times (2017 and 2018) and I didn’t like the assist lag when stopping and starting steep uphill. Maybe it was just some setting in MC but I had no access to check and change it so I just didn’t like it. The other things were the Specialized dropper and the dreadful Guide R brakes which didn’t enhance my experience with the bike... :)
Of course, lots of things can be replaced on the bike and the base Levo can be brought up to the spec level of the Canyon in question. By that time, the bike will perform the same for double price. I couldn’t justify it for myself but we all have different preferences and it might be the perfect solution for someone else.

I've read that the display on the neuron is the shimano e7000 display. Is that true? So it's not the color display.

I asked them the same question and they said it was the E7000 display but all videos I've seen have the E8000 on it. Hopefully you get yours soon so we can find out lol

On this Spanish man's Neuron it looks like a colour display. Or maybe he changed it for the E8000.
