New to EMTB in Devon, where to ride?

Just moved back to Devon and bought a YT Decoy, it’s been 18 years since I last lived here and looking for recommendations on where to ride, I know Haldon pretty well and have explored Dartmoor extensively but wondered where else people would recommend

Not ridden up there in years. I think the last time I rode in the Quantocks the Andersons still had their dad running an uplift at weekends !

Dont ride much in the north so can say about up there.

There is a Group on facebook called (Devon mtb Club) That is fairly active also (North Devon MTB) and (EMTB devon).

Is Chipshop woods still over by Tavistock or has that gone? I think it was taken over by Gawton at some point.

Nah hardly any jumps there now.

Probably up my street now I’m old, I remember totally wiping out on one of the big(ish) gap jumps there.

You have Okeford bike Park with uplift near Blandford forum or a bit further Tidworth bike which is a popular one.

I ride cann woods a lot as live a mile away. Loads of flowing twisty stuff if you can find it.
lots of other great options within a few miles of Plymouth as others have mentioned.

If you haven't but the online OS map service and a GPS that runs OS maps such as a TwoNav. You are blessed with an amazing network of bridleways in and around your area. Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Quontacks. Map out bridleway runs on the OS maps online system and download them to your GPS and away you go.
