The thick tube has undeniable advantages, such as accommodating a removable 840+ Swatt battery or a short 600 watt battery positioned directly above the motor, centralizing the weight.
It also allows for a size S frame with good geometry.

I prioritize functionality over aesthetics; obviously, some will disagree.

I own the bike. I just think the chunky frame suits the chunk components of the 4

Same motor and batteries, different main frame and rear section
If they have gone through the effort to make molds for a new front triangle then I think it's an absolute miss not to make it with slim down tube and fixed battery. They were so close to salvaging the the Levo 4 and they've missed the mark.

Absolutely, and meanwhile all of the Avinox riders are complaining about the high center of gravity and missing clovebox ;) *ironie off

Sorry for this, but how come nobody seems to hate other Chunky bikes like the new Rail for example?

I love riding my gen 4 though I went to a bike park on Sunday and I had the biggest blast ive had in a while , she rode so well on jump lines enduro lines and some smaller flow lines I just found myself doing a line over and over cause I was having a JOL , I normally ride with friends at a flatter area with mostly single track flows

They were always like this, but the Levo went from Prom Queen to something very different in my and many others opinion.

I would have bought a Levo Gen 4 by 98%, when it had come with a lighter frame and motor...

Because the ‘Velevoraptors’ are circling and they must be fed! 😂

I don’t get it either, you’d think people obsessed with the size of the downtube would just shrug and move on, but no, they have to post endlessly how the Levo 4 has somehow personally insulted them.

Downtubes must be the only things that blokes don’t boast about ‘bigger being better’… 🤣

Yup I agree there are defiantly not any better , I was a trek store on Saturday and the down tubes are huge they actually look bigger that Spesh

My mondraker crafty looks like I'm smuggling dimensional lumber in the downtube, hah !
At least specialized made an attempt to smooth the lines a bit.
Looks aside, I'd certainly not trade the crafty for a levo anytime soon.

This seems to be just marketing pic

S-works weight is 23.68 according to spesh website, with 600wh battery it would be 22.68

Is that possible to drop 3 kg just by components to achieve 19.70kg? Or there is something I can't see?

My approximate counting is
tires - 400g
fork - 300g
shock - 200g
dropper - 300g
brakes with rotors - 500g
which is 1.7kg, how did they managed to drop another 1.3kg ?
From what i'm aware of tomorrows bike is NOT a Gen 4 levo Enduro , its a lighter weight Trail bike less suspension so its like the picture posted on Friday

Have you ridden a Levo? I'm wondering if the Crafty handles its weight any better. The Levo made my shoulders sore.

Yeah, the gen 3 and 4. And owned a kenevo sl for a year.
Different specs of crafty, but that xr is 49.5 pounds (22.5kg). So lighter than the levo 4, but it feels like alot less weight than that. The levo 4's long front center ( in s4 ) gave me the perception that it was much heavier than it was. And there's no comparison in cornering, the crafty is vastly superior. As is the suspension performance.
I presume by sore shoulders, you mean because of having to ride that front end like a unicycle in corners ?

Yeah partially. It was a S6 (gen 3). Poor weight distribution and the bars were low so that caused me to have to ride with a lot of weight on my hands and made it hard to lift the front.

Shop owner I work with said the bike I ordered for my fiance the new levo 4R or whatever official name is being built today and I can pick it up tomorrow when the embargo or whatever it's called ends. He said he can't send me pictures until tomorrow.

You buy a bike without picture, test, etc? What is this madness?

Absolutely, and meanwhile all of the Avinox riders are complaining about the high center of gravity and missing clovebox ;) *ironie off
We are?

I find mostly owners of non Avinox bikes with zero experience riding them making these complaints.

The amflow is what the levo 4 should have been. I know that statement will upset some in this thread. I am a specialized fan here and wished the levo 4 would have been better. I had a levo 3 prior. Rode the levo 4 and bought the amflow and have been very happy with that decision. Crazy to think 11 years of turbo levo and first iteration of an amflow…

So far these new bike rumors aren’t that exciting. I’m just hoping this is a quick release while they are working on a true next gen bike that’ll rival all the new competition.

Absolutely mad lad here. Well I was 100 percent set on getting her the levo 4 but he said this bike would be more appropriate for her. He knows our trails and she is 125 lbs at most so the lighter weight and lighter battery should work well.

I do understand what you said but, for such tag I would trust no one. Let's still hope you get a color or pattern she will like!

She rode that standard levo 4 for about 8 hrs last year so was just going to get that. They didn't have her size in build she wanted. Only had low end aluminum in S2. Figured we would wait till this year in case they updated colors etc. He was able to send some older bikes with certain colors and had her pick and said it's nearly same color. Some kind of light green or blue(I'm awful with colors). So was all set to order standard levo 4 but it's lighter so figure she would be ok with that. I'm fairly certain she will be happy.

The other day I was looking at a 2019 Levo S-Works next to an AMFlow Pro and I was surprised by how similar they are.

Long battery life, slim frame, travel, and suspension setup… basically, they've increased a lot of power and a little battery capacity.

A real revolution! ………….six years later

Yeah, nothing has changed there on the levo 4.
This is probably the wrong place to be saying such a thing, but it was one of the most polished e-bikes I've rode in the last couple years, but unfortunately also one of the worst in terms of handling. If I were to guess, the geo on this thing was designed in 2020-21, and the big S is running a very long production cycle.

Many people point out the chunky Bosch bikes but they are still far better proportioned that the Levo 4.
Just to show how angle can change overall proportions of the downtube on some bikes. First photo Canyon Spectral On vs Levo SL, next photo Canyon vs Levo 4...all bikes L or S4...
