Can I ask you what range you are getting on your e-Spark? I am awaiting delivery of a 2018 e-Spark 710 myself.
 
Thanks for the help, got myself one off ebay. Just thought it will come in handy on long trips, plus going to start doing my 2 way 20 mile comute on it each day.
 
I am thinking of putting a second battery to be able to do more kilometers without stopping. Does anyone have a second battery (battery extender) installed in your Scott?
 
Got my spare battery pretty much straight away after buying the bike but rarely needed it. For me a big day out is about 40km off road and 1 battery usually sufficient. having the spare is piece of mind like nothing else though ?

Well it depends on what you want to do and how you ride.

Last weekend I did 57 miles + 4200ft around the Purbeck Hills and used 54 % battery (500 battery).

A 40 mile round trip commute should be easily achievable on one full 500 battery.
 
Have a 2019 eGenius and get around 40km on the type of trails I ride. Around 13kph average and 620m of elevation gain. Was considering a second battery but looked to other options.
