Hi All.

I'm new here, this is my Custom MyO Wild.

In love with the bike, I don't seem to have suffered what many others have, my paint is immaculate, not one single issue anywhere on the bike. It's had invisiFRAME slapped on for good measure, bit silly not to on an expensive toy!

Really enjoying it and have updated to the 100Nm with no issues, however, I don't feel the need to crank it up, coming from a TREK Slash 9.8 GX AXS, analogue, this is way ahead of where I need it to be.

What I don't like is the shitty Shimano Groupset 8100 I think it is. Coming from SRAM to Shimano, is not where I want this bike to be, so the first thing to go will be the entire groupset.

I also have an issue with the rear brake, the pads with the fins, seem to be vibrating at 15.8Mph and sit there on and off, making this very very annoying noise. Contacted the supplier, who are supportive, but think that these brakes are rubbish for the price paid.

I'm thinking, SRAM Mavens are required to give it what it needs, and to remove that awful vibration noise. Anyway, went stealth look, was going to go all Black everything , but added some Kashima, let it do all the talking.

I specified the 750wh battery and had the range extender as part of my deal. Not sure I’ll ever use the extender though.

Would you recommend the Mavens as a good replacement for the XT brakes?

Maybe try some different pads and ice tech rotors. XT “should” be ok set up right with good biting surfaces.

To stop the annoying rear brake noise replace the finned pads with regular (unfinned) pads.

Working at a shop and selling Maven, personally I'd recommended Hope Tech 4 V4's over the Mavens. We see a lot of customers having issues with the Maven's. Leaking issues and bleeding problems. But to each their own, I do have two buddies riding Maven's and love them.

Update on this issue.

I bought some Galfer purples, for the XT 8120 calipers. Fitted today and test ride, noise above 15.8 mph is still there. It’s so annoying. This bike wasn’t cheap. I’m now waiting for bike company to get in touch with me as I’ve told them that the issue remains.

I can’t link a video or upload but any help would be really appreciated and I’d be grateful.

On a plus note I bit the bullet and ordered Maven silvers. But it’s working out to be very expensive and that doesn’t include fitting them. So I’ll be left out of pocket on this issue.

Replaced the entire brake setup for Maven Silvers. Not cheap to replace what are essentially new brakes already but, Mavens for me have sorted the issue once and for all.
