New bike day

My new Orbea Wild FS is arriving today. I can't believe how excited I am. I'm like a kid with a new toy. I live in a cul-de-sac and every time I hear a vehicle I jump out of my seat to go and check. I wouldn't mind but I'm 72 FFS

the problem is , the first time you ride it off road it then ends up looking just like all your old bikes.

Then it's already a good buy I know there are accumulated creaks and groans and various workarounds for various old injuries as we get older, but I really believe true old age is more about having no passions. For the more base of us there is that saying "he who dies with the most toys wins"
