An interesting and curious addition to say the least. Besides the eye watering price and that only 25 of them can be had, there are some tidbits here worth noting:

  1. Bloody thing has 195mm of rear travel with a straight seat tube
  2. You really have to squint to see this is actually a FP EMTB, perhaps even more so than any Avinox incarnation. To make it work they went with the Maxon but had to stick to the 400WH battery to pull it off. OTOH, Pole acquiesced by sticking with the chubbier 600WH, but ended up with a more rotund offering.
  3. Extender is a requirement, but no room for one?
  4. A six-bar suspension AND a floating idler - this is crazy amount of design knobs to tune get the designers intended AS and AR and LR curves. Whether you agree fully with those intentions is up for discussion.
  5. And it’s a VPP, but this time inside the headset (won’t elaborate here).
  6. Bonded CF with alloy rear triangle - What an Atherton EMTB could have looked like if they came out with an A-Series version and ditched the pipe motif, sans the idler of course. Also, what a Maxon Pole could have looked like if Plummet and I had convinced Leo to ditched the bonded clamshell fab approach.
  7. Really curious about how much this thing weighs.
The PB article that goes in the details.
