So first off, I did a search here and online. found limited info on this for fix. So I just purchased two new 2024 Hecklers. Both of them have the battery mounting issues. I have tried to adjust the latches bit they won't sit in sight. Went for a ride and the battery rattled. I see solutions with velcro straps... But these were both new very expensive bikes. I'm going to get my LBS to put in a warranty claim. But does anyone have a solution for this. I tried adjusting the latch multiples times wont no luck. Cheers and thx in advance,

Get back to your dealer.
There is a fix including an adustment or a new latching mech.
I took advice from a poster here ana installed a thin (5mm) stirip of adhesive window seal on the sides and top of the battery cover.
Do a search here and you will find plenty of info.
The gap on mine was NOT as large as yours but it did rattle.
Good luck and start with your dealer.

Have you got an outcome on this at all? I too have a Heckler with a similar gap.

Some companies must be laughing all the way to the bank knowing that people purchasing top tier bikes are deciding to go with DIY fixes to a design / manufacturing problem, would you do the same with a car, I think not so make the manufacturers of said bike work on a solution or issue a refund, trying DIY fixes will I'm sure void warranties, it's a buyers market and they should be working harder and smarter for you cash and loyalties.

I’m confident applying a DIY hack will mean the retailer and manufacturer have an out and will simply walk away from the issue. For the numerous issues I’ve had on my Heckler, I am now requesting a refund.
Well done you, you shouldn't have to put up with poor design at the prices SC demand, fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Yes I did. Santa Cruz sent a brand new Frame/Battery. The guy from Santa Cruz was great. He sent me emails with videos showing the new frame and battery that were perfect. Been riding the bike now for a while with zero issues.

Oh wow - that is a great outcome! I’m in Australia and not having the same luck as you. Is there any way I can message you in private so I can go back to Santa Cruz to try and get this resolved?
