I currently have two step thru commuter bikes but live in an area where there are numerous beginner and intermediate bike trails. While the commuter bikes do ok on dirt roads, anything with rocks and roots can get dicey. I am 80 years old and in excellent health and would love to get an EMTB. I prefer something easy to get on as I am not very tall. I know of no one making a step through so a dropper saddle ight do the trick. I would like about 100Nm of power and a reasonable battery (40 miles ?). My current budget is in the $5K range. Totally open to suggestions!

You should look into the Aventon EMTB models. They have two models, are reasonably priced and should work well for you needs. However, check with bike shops in your area to see if they can perform warranty work should anything arise during the warranty period. Good luck with your search.
