"My" Sram Power cord

That connector fits my cable at least without any real issue. Red wire is -, black is + though.

I've been wanting to get the Sram powercord for my AXS derailleur for a while but the over 160 euros required have always held me back.
Yet another battery change on the fly on the trail, however, made me change my mind and so, still convinced that I didn't want to spend over 150 euros for a cable, I built my own. At motor level, the only thing I had to do was to have the port on the motor enabled for high absorption by a Bosch centre.
Total cost of the work:
8 euros for the protection of the battery compartment of the Sram Axs derailleur (which I already had)
1.5 euros for a 3A step-down module
8.8 euros for the Bosch cable for third-party HPP applications
heat shrink, double core cable, and epoxy I already had them.
Once the adapter was made I resined everything with elastic epoxy resin.
tested it in the dry and it works, we'll see over time if it proves reliable (in the meantime I'm still going around with a spare battery) and how it goes in wet and rainy conditions.

Hi, I'm building the same thing. I'm having trouble finding the cable with the HIGO connector. Can you direct me to where I can purchase it?
 
Hi, please note I meant the connector circled (see attach). Is this Higo plug suitable for connecting to DJI?

On the basis of that photo, yes that is the correct connector HIGO Micro-A MALE but as @sprousaTM says above, the cable itself is thicker. Please Note MALE appears to be female and FEMALE appears to be male!!

Oh that's correct. Did not realize that myself. The right cable is Z205AG P 00 AW 1000 , which they lable as Male, but it sure looks female to me. There is a pin inside the housing which sticks into the cable on the motor. Probably why it is labled male then.

The cable above has an cable thickness of 2.4mm, outer housing diameter of 4.8mm and length of the housing of 18,90 mm.

The Higo to bosch cable has a thicker cable of around 3.9mm, housing length of around 18mm and outer housing diameter of 5.3mm and looks pretty much like this cable end Z205BG P 00 S4 1000

I could not source any seller for the Z205AG P 00 AW 1000, not even the manufacturer answered any of my requests ;)
In my test the bosch cable with the Higo Micro B Male end fits the Micro A Female side on the Avinox but without guarantee of course. It is of course a little bit of jerry-rigging the whole thing, but if it works, I do not care.
 
I'll start by saying that I do not recommend that anyone do this - it's a lot of work. But SRAM are idiots for not selling this damn cable and I'm an idiot for insisting on pursuing an alternative. That said, I got a lot of help from this thread and the trailblazers who preceded me so I should give back by sharing my experience.

Step 1: The impossible Higo connector.
I noticed that Supernova light connectors look very similar and some even hint at "Higo" so I took a chance and ordered this one which seems to be a custom connector that Higo made for Supernova using the Micro A / Micro B contacts but in a slightly different housing that is similar in size to Micro B:

Step 2: The voltage regulator.
I was afraid the dial-adjustable regulator used by @e_1 might shake loose so I went old-school and just got a regular fixed regulator, then looked up the chip datasheet (MP2307) and then changed R2 from 36K to 62K to get 8.2V. They are 0603 resistors and if you don't know what that means I suggest that you keep it that way. They are not fun:

Step 3: The housing.
I drew the line at fabricating my own housing/contacts and instead opted to chop up some cheap batteries. Obviously they can explode so I don't recommend that anyone does this. I couldn't break the glue joint non-destructively so I ended up buying 2 batteries and cutting one high and one low so I'd have a good set of base/cap to reassemble.

Finally, I soldered it all up on the bike (polarity is backwards as others have noted) and filled it with electronics-safe RTV for assembly:

Great effort @Gauss Guzzler Thanks for sharing, I appreciate the satisfaction from doing this!
However, would it not have been much easier to buy the Bosch version and replace the connector (which is what I did) with the one you sourced?
 
Yes, absolutely! That's why I recommend against doing it this way. :p

Even the Bosch version is quite difficult to purchase in the US and the price gouging is obscene, but it can sometimes be found for as little as $100. Add a $20 Supernova cable and solder 2 wires and you're done in 20 minutes. If you add up my parts it comes to about $60 but I already had resistors, electronics RTV, a microscope, and several hours of free time.

BTW I just realized this is a Bosch thread that was commandeered into an Avinox thread. Oops!
 
One advice for the voltage regulator. Just put one drop of Superglue to the dial after setting up the voltage.
 
If you are in Germany, I still have 3 cables left... Bought the old leftover stock from e-technologies. The guy only had 4 cables left of the correct HIGO S2 MA ones. I thought about building some more for backup and friends, but noone wanted one haha ;)
