My new Crafty, help me chose the right parts

Hey guys, yesterday i bought my new Crafty.

And i have a sly here that I want to sell and I want to rip off some parts from the sly.

I want to build up the crafty with the best possible parts but I’m not sure.
I’m overthinking it at the moment and couldn’t get my self to start the Build

The crafty is Equipped with a Zeb Base.
I have a 36 Grip X2, I’m concerned about the 36mm stanchions and the lack of stiffness for such a heavy bike.
But on the other hand, much heavier bikes in the past came with a 36.
I had a Reign e+ with a 170mm 36 and I wasn’t complaining. I think it has to do with marketing brainwash.

What do you think ?

Base or 36?

The next thing are the wheels.

The sly has mavic Crossmax.
I think they are heavy with around 2200g.
But the wheels in the crafty sems even cheaper but maybe lighter.
The crafty comes with wtb i30 Sport Terra and some wtb frequency hubs.

Would you swap the wheels?

36 Will be fine
My crafty came with Mavic wheel's which seem to stand up to abuse on the ebike.
My RR weighs 24.5 kgs with downhill tyres fitted.

I'd test both forks and both sets of wheels seperately. You have all of the parts on hand anyways so it's a genuine opportunity to find what exactly works best for you in this application.

I’m almost finished my build.
The 36 Looks Kinda Lost in this frame

The Bike is still so Heavy.

I took the On/Off seatpost from the Sly and the Saddle.
Both combined are 200g lighter.

The rear wheel alone (complete) was 400g heavier then the rear Wheel from the sly.

The fork is lighter. But still way over 24kgs

Damn, she rips, feel light for what it is.
I think I have to try another scale, i can’t believe that the bike is still 24kgs.

Good geo and the Bosch short fat battery both contribute to hiding the weight better.

Those are excellent riding bikes.

The WolfTooth dropper has the shortest insertion depth. Combine that with an SQLabs saddle and I think you'll be able to improve your dropper length a bit.

PS. You are correct that the 36 looks a bit odd on this frame, if that matters to you. Be sure and report back how the forks feel different.
