My stock e-bike light finally gave up after a few years, so now I'm trying to decide what to replace it with.
Right now I'm looking at the **Supernova Mini 3 Pro**, the **Lezyne Macro Drive 1000 E-Bike**, and the **Magicshine ME 2000 V2.0**. The ME 2000 caught my eye because it runs up to 2000 lumens, supports 6–60V systems, and seems pretty compact for the output.
Part of me is also wondering if I should just build my own setup. I've seen people wire motorcycle LED pods or automotive lights directly into their e-bike battery, and it looks like a fun project. On the other hand, I'm not sure I want to deal with beam patterns, waterproofing, or troubleshooting electrical issues every time something goes wrong.
Most of my riding is on dark bike paths and rural roads, so I care more about a clean beam and reliability than chasing the highest lumen number.
If you've used the ME 2000, Lezyne, or Supernova, which would you choose? Or would you actually go the DIY route instead?
