Thought i might aswell do a little build post of my Dengfu E82.
Ordered direct from the dengfu website and at a touch over £1600 i was a but dubious however Mia kept me updated the whole way through via email and 6 days after ordering it had all arrived.

I've built many bikes but this is my first E-bike build, so expecting a bit of a learning curve.

Quick run through the spec below.

*Medium dengfu e82 frame in gloss white
*Bafang M560
*Fox DPX2 230mm x 60mm rear shock
*Fox factory 36 fork 170mm shaft fitted.
*Fox mudguard
*Dyedbro ebike frame protection kit

*Hope 36t R20 chainring
*XTR 12 speed shifter
*XTR 12 speed rear derailleur
*XTR 12 speed chain
*XTR 12 speed cassette
*Unite components chainguide and bash
*High power cycles CNC cranks
*Bergtec UDH
*Bergtec rear axle
*bergtec front axle

*Hope headset and spacer
*Hope gravity stem 35 x 50mm
*Hope R35 chameleon bars
*Hope seatclamp
*Fox transfer dropper post
*SDG bel air saddle
*Hope f20 Pedals
*Peatys monarch grips
*Hope V4 220 vented f, 203 vented r
*Full black Titanium brake hardware

*Hope fortus 30, pro 5 wheelset
*peatys tubeless valve kit
*Cushcore inserts
*vittoria mezcal barzo combo

The frame arrived well packaged and whilst it isn't supplied with any instructions it looks fairly straight forward.
All connectors are colour coded.

The only problem I came accross which is fairly minor is that the m3 bolt supplied to fit the speed sensor was too short so I ended up fitting an m3 x 8 rather than the supplied m3 x 6.

I'll try and take photos throughout the build but I some times get a bit carried away building so I apologise in advance.

I wasn't sure whether the hope headset would fit, it looked like It was quite shallow in the headtube and seeing everybody fitting the dengfu supplied headset made me think aftermarket would be a problem.

Went in no problem 😊.

After reading about the poor quality of the rear axle that is supplied with dengfu frames I decided to give it a swerve and get a burgtec thru axle to match my front one, and because I like a bit of bling I added a burgtec UDH hanger to match it.

Just waiting for a couple more bits to arrive and hopefully get it built up this weekend.

Looks awesome, the extra bling makes it extra special, specially frame all white,

Did it fit or not? It was not clear?! I was looking for myself in changing the headset on my E10. This Hope looks gorgeous.

Looking forward to more pics from your build.

Cheers,

Caio

Yes all fits and works perfectly 👌.

The e10 hope headset will look even neater with it having the tapered headtube.

Today I stripped down the fox 36's to fit the 170mm air shaft as I stole them from one of my hardtails. Alot of work for not much difference in travel but needed to match up with the rear better. Added my carbon fibre grip 2 knob and aircap.

I'm finally happy with the wiring so motor is now mounted.

Today I got most of the E82 built up. Still waiting for a few bits to arrive but managed to build it up enough to test the motor with a quick ride. It definitely made me smile.

Anyway, started off re bleeding my rear v4, fitting Galfer E-bike purple pads along with a set of better bolts thicker pad pins to stop the slight movement you get on the V4. I would definitely recommend them.

Then on to fitting the Hope chainring and unite components chain guide, had to shorten the fitting bolts snd slightly ovalise one hole but fits well, I've dropped the guide down slightly now.
Standard bafang cranks fitted until my HPC cnc cranks arrive.

Next was fitting my carbon fibre tech 4 reservoir caps to match the adjustment knobs on my forks. As I said earlier in the thread, I like a bit of bling.

There's still a few bits to do buy I'm really happy so far.

Once this is built I think I'm going to build an e14 for hardtail days .

Hi
I see you got rid of the Bafang chainring and cranks.
The Bafang chainring seems to weigh a lot.
Did you have any problems mounting the crank and chainring to the engine, and how is the chainline?

And one more thing: I wonder if this chainring will hold up with the M560 engine.

I'm also curious what the total weight of your bike will be once it's finished.

Chainline seems to be pretty much the same as it was with the original, sits perfectly in centre of my chain guide without ant adjustment which was removed from one of my hardtails.
The cranks are currently standard bafang as i just wanted to get on it and test it was all working , I'm still waiting for my HPC cranks to arrive. Estimated end of August.

I'm not expecting the hope ring to last as well as the steel chainring supplied with the motor but for what it costs I'll replace it as part of drivetrain service on regular intervals.

As soon as it's finished I'll get it weighed and post on here.

I've had the e82 built up for a week or so now and been out on a couple of shakedown rides.
What a bike, I'm well impressed.
No battery rattle like alot of people mention. All feels nice and solid, very little flex for a carbon frame.

Weighed it earlier and it comes in at just under 24.8kg which is a fair bit lighter than I expected to be honest considering I'm running cushcore inserts.

Very nice build. Can I ask about the M560 noise ? Is it acceptable (I guess you have newest version) or still an issue ?

To be honest it's pretty quiet unless I'm really working it. General flat or slight incline there's minimal noise from it.
It's not silent but no different to any other brand of motor I've used.

Perfect, thanks. Now I have Bosch gen.4 smart system and it is also not that quiet as previous gen.3. So hope M560 is not much louder than this Bosch :)

The change was swapping the fox 36 to fox 38 180mm forks. Also fitted a set of kashima headset spacers, a bit of bling I've wanted for ages and finally got some.
I've fitted new frame protection too but not 100% happy with it.

Done just over 1000 miles on the dengfu so far and still loving it.

Nice one. Isn't your motor noisy ? Mine is noisy like hell. You can check here, does your sound the same ?

Thank you for all the details. I'm actually looking forward to follow your steps in this regard, with the tiny difference, I don't build bikes lol, I'd take the parts to a mechanic shop. Any suggestions other than what you've written already? Thanks in advance.

May I ask which chainring adapter you got and where? I only find some compatible with M510 and would liek one for M560, do they have the same interface? Cheers and very impressive build!

how is this build under 25 kg ?
mine is almost 2 kg heavier and abourt same spec
