I have a Trek rail 9 GX 2022 .

Any reason why I could not move the kiox using this mount? I would be using option 2: sideways along stem; angle adjustment.

Anyone else moved the kiox from the top tube ?

Thanks

No problem at all
i moved mine to the bars as the top tube mount was in the way on my bike .

Yes you can use either. I've used the steerer type mount, it seems slightly better protected from a crash.

Just curious, what was in the way?

I had mine originally mounted to the steerer stem but after a few crashes I decided that the top tube was the best place for me. I never broke the stem mount version but the Kiox did easily pop away from the magnetic holder. I added a tether after the Kiox popped off when I crashed through some brush.

I know it’s personal, or subject to riding style, but I find the upper tube location works for me. During a ride I basically glance at the mode colour (eMTB mode purple) and use the clock page. (Vision issues here).

I don’t attach the Kiox with the small screw but rely on the magnet instead.

I have mine like this , didn't like it on the top tube. just felt like you have to look down more to see the screen. Having it on the steerer I could see it getting smashed unless having raised handlebars stops that ?
