Went for a ride after installing new wheel , power started to cut out, lost power and got a RED message Motor power restricted , it was unridable impossible to do any climbs. Any ideas what can cause this? I Swapped to a 29 aluminum wheel from the original ( original was breaking spokes every other week)

Dumb question, but did you swap over the speed sensor disc on the rotor?

Any chance the speed sensor itself (not the disc on the rotor) got damaged or moved somehow? Also, did you change wheel size? 27.5 to 29? And if so, is there a setting in Avinox for that? I know on other systems it can be changed but can also be left unchanged, the bike mostly performs the same but isn’t measuring speed accurately. Perhaps Avinox can tell if the wheel size is wrong based on speed difference between the speed sensor and its GPS speed? 🤷🏽‍♂️

You have definitely moved something. The issue is not wheel related.

- check to ensure your speed sensor (the one on the frame) is still intact, has not moved or got scratched
- if you were installing wheel with bike upside down, check all wiring and connections, especially the connection from sensor to the motor

Take your bike to the shop. It very much sounds as there is more to the story than "just swapped a wheel".
