Hello,

I've had this happen twice now on the same descent near me - it's a very, very rooty descent on an otherwise uneventful trail - it's a proper bone shaker and head rattler but there isn't any drops or anything other than a lot of roots.

Both time's I've ridden this the motor has stopped responding part way through with a message that reads something like "Motor locked - bad bike attitude" or something along those lines.

The problem is when I stop or come to a level section it becomes happy again and the message clears itself before I can read it fully or take a photo.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Thanks!

A completely random guess would be insecure battery connections.

Hmm. Troubling. This is the only place I’ve had this happen currently, but it’s happened both times I’ve ridden it.

I wonder if it could be some sort of crash protection or similar for the battery, as as soon as I stop or it levels out it starts again fine.

I think its telling you to go faster over the roots:p. On rough rooty sections speed is your friend!!
Fault messages are cryptic enough when in English...........English translated from Chinese.....no chance making any sense!!:ROFLMAO: @irie is probably right though.

Check the settings for turning off the engine when the bike is tilted too much, this option is there, I remember for sure

P.S.: Sorry, google translate did the translation without my participation...

Проверьте настройки на предмет отключения двигателя при слишком сильном наклоне мотоцикла, эта опция там есть, я точно помню.

This is normal for Amflow, it does the same thing if you stand the bike up on the back wheel. Yes you hit the error code correct

Thanks everyone - I'll check for that setting! Perhaps the bike is thinking it's upside down when it's getting shaken around!

I think this has happened to me also when riding rough chunky rock trails for a long period of time bashing everything in site. I got a quick notice on the screen about "motor locked" etc etc but I also could not read it fast enough or take picture before it went away. Came and went very fast. I did notice a quick drop in power then power kicked back in and message went away.

Hasn't happened any other time than that. Even on other rough chunky descents. Its happened twice so far

"Bad bike attitude!"

It is the thought that a bike might have a bad attitude; "sullen, sulking, surly!" :ROFLMAO: I love that!

One of my schoolteachers used to tell me that I had a bad attitude. Your title brought it all back (sadly).
He was a thoroughly unpleasant and bullying character who should not have been allowed anywhere near children. He seemed to enjoy terrorising 11-12 year old boys. These days (60+ years later) he would not be allowed to get away with what he used to do as a matter of course (not just me, the whole class were targets for his venom). In these times of reduced deference to authority, the parents would have lynched the bastard. :)

When I left that school, I used to dream that I'd meet him on the streets. :)
He would no longer be dealing with a small for his age 11-year old boy in short trousers, but a 6'1" adult with anger issues.

I get it everytime on the last berm on launchpad at FOD, it's not been intrusive enough for me to look at how to turn it off as it disappears quickly.

It makes sense to cut the motor if you loop out or fall off, I guess if it is super rooty it overwhelms the sensor.

I turned off the feature (under "experimental features") and it stopped doing it - but it literally has only ever done it at this one descent so I turned it back on and didn't think about it again. I've been riding plenty of chunk over the summer and it's not done it once!
