Mondraker Dune R seat post replacement

Just picked up my new Mondraker Dune R and realised I need to replace the dropper with one that has a shorter insertion depth. I have ordered a One Up V2 dropper. Has anyone had the pleasure of replacing the dropper on a Dune yet? Is there anything to watch out for or tips on how to do it?

Hi sorry for my late one. I bought the frame option and slammed in a V3 one up dropper.

Unfortunately I always have issues with the cable. The activator goes from very smooth to hard and suddenly it stops moving. I do have issues with the cable but I have already done the job 4 times and result does not change....

What's your experience?

I bought a 180mm One up V2 dropper and had to reduce it to 170mm drop. The cable was a very tight fit through the hole on the frame where the seat post meets the motor. I carefully filed this hole bigger so the cable was a loose fit. When it was a 180mm travel dropper I did find the cable actuation to be stiff. I think that was caused by the bend in the cable close to the actuator on the bottom of the post. There wasn't enough room inside the frame to allow a smooth curve in the cable. Once I reduced the travel to 170mm it allowed more room for the cable and it actuates OK now.

I' now removing the dropper and I'll do a thorough analysis cause it's stacked again. Let's see what I find. My plan was to move to the axs.. but I'm concerned about the length

I looked into an axs dropper post but I think they are too long with a 180/170mm drop.
