I have had the first Met Parachute and it was excellent. Subsequent iterations got better and better. I currently have one of their non-detachable Parachutes. It is great, bit tricky to get on, but super comfy once on.
The Met Parachute MCR reviews well and based upon my experience (METS helmets fit me) and the review I would get one if I needed one.
MET has completely shaken up its Parachute helmet design by kitting it with a removable chin bar with help from Fidlock’s magnetic technology. Thanks to great comfort, top breathability and a great build quality, the Parachute MCR could pass for one of the best full-face MTB helmets, however...

Edit: I wouldn't worry about the claim that it is difficult to attach the chin bar whilst on the trail. You will soon get the hang of it. When he was 15, I bought my grandson a chin bar for his Bell Super 3R helmet. The chin bar was tricky at first and he was on the point of throwing a strop. But with a bit of encouragement, he soon got the hang of it.
