Merida with bosch

Hello

Was in my local bike shop recently and they said they have ordered 10 new Merida eMTBs and they are fitting with a Bosch motor

Has anyone heard this rumour?

Well, it's true it's a rumour!

If he didn't specify which bike, it may be a lighter SX motor model? Unless there was some massive price undercutting done by Bosch, I don't see why Merida would go to the retooling costs to change across on their main 140/160 bikes given they are so new and as the latest EP801 software update makes the motors very comparable performance wise.

EDIT: I have information from a local dealer, that Merida models with Bosch will be launched on 25. october.
