Just announced e-road and e-gravel bikes with Avinox drives. Can't see the point unless you live in New Zealand 😉

Ah nice, I was disappointed only the Upon e-road bike was announced yesterday and wondered when the Along e-gravel bike was coming. The paint jobs aren't amazing but I don't mind the sand one.

The Along has the more relaxed geometry I was hoping for and there is the option for the M2S as well as the M2 motor. The M2S versions also come with the 12A fast charger rather than the 4A one with the cheapest M2 builds.

It's a shame that there isn't a frameset only option with the motor and battery like with the Velduro Phantom (though that is M2 only and they seem to be having trouble getting my size). I'm amazed to see a 38cm handlebar on a size small "03" (though the cheaper M2 "10" has separate stem and 40cm handlebar) which is great, though I'd like to know what the reach of it is. I'll likely need to change the integrated stem and handlebar for slightly less reach. I'd also want shorter 155cm cranks so I'd need to change those too and maybe an offset seatpost.

I'd also like to run a mullet drivetrain with an Eagle 10-52 cassette to go with the 44t chainring.

The Phantom also has more mounting points, both on the fork and under the top tube. Looking beyond the mounting points considering it uses the M2 motor I could potentially get the base drop bar Along 10 for a little bit more and just treat that as a frame only and maybe sell off the extra bits I don't need. Especially if it's easier to get hold of and my nearest bike shop is also a Megamo dealer...

Two vidoes on yootoob, one for each bike. The Along has a lady rider and she makes the bike look huge! I don't know if she is very small or the bike is big, but she looks like a child riding her dad's bike.
