Silicone spray and you’ll realise why when you next come to wash it . If it does accidentally get on a brake it burns off much easier and quicker too
So many people using wd40 gt85 etc but they all rot Certain rubber parts , silicone especially around your forks and shock and dropper will also help smooth action .

Yeah I only spray onto cloth then wipe frame learned the rubber perish thing using it on my dirt bikes after lots of changing fork leg seals ?

It’s not just fork seals it gets into all the seals not only rots rubber but dissolves the grease and thicker oils that seals rely on to seal then people wonder why it’s all worn out so quick
It has it uses of course but silicone does no harm doesn’t atract dirt and turn into grinding paste plus it actually helps seals to work better and reduce stiction especially on suspension
Forks have an oil reservoir to keep the legs lubed under the top seal why wash that off with what is basically a solvent to normal oil
