Markhor Kunlun M510 - 190mm - Super Enduro Build-Log

Hi Kaaskopf,
I have a question, do you know if Evosid cranks can be mounted on the Bafang M560?
I have doubts about it...
I dont think evosid make else i will be getting for sure. I been looking at bafang crank arm for almost 6 month non stop as I own another m820 bike. Willing to spend 300 usd for a light weight arm for my m820.

no offcourse it does not fit. bafang has a different spline

i use the evosid crankset in combination with my hybridiser-motor-delete-mount. this way i can ride a bafang bike without a motor installed. the evosid crankset is only used in the hybridiser bracket as a normal bb bracket but its fitting the m510 mountings on any bafang frameset. this is for weight reduction /for gravity usage

if you want different cranks you need the BFG spline specially for bafang fitment for m510/m560 and m600
aliexpress has some 152/165 and 175 lengths.
hybridiser and markhor both have their own cranks with less offset
and miranda makes different BFG splined cranks but they have slightly more offset.
mind that the m560 casing is wider so they might need different offset (MORE) compared to slimmer m510.

i prefer the least amount of offset (q-factor). your knees will thank you later.

the m820 uses a different spline and cranks. but i do not have knowledge about that one yet.

Do you recon these would fit
I've had different sets from them in different lengths and they've been fine for

Can you explain to me the reason for changing the cranks? Are the originals no good or do they have problems?

I just change for my own experiment before I buy an expensive crank arm. I actually feel lot better then original 160mm. Plus now I have less pedal strike .

Stunning build. I'm inspired to do something similar and build a super enduro. What is the BB height?
I found it low. My weight it's 67kg , using ohlins 434 lbs with 230mm shock. Fork it's 180mm. Motor cover break easily, pls remember to buy extra cover since it dirt cheap. I am thinking of buying another 10pc.

Rockshox Deluxe Ultimate DH B1 (steel shaft) coil shock in 250x75 with 500lbs coil

View attachment 149740

Found a deal on an Oneup v2 240mm dropper, so now the project is on hold till i get the dropper and some more free time... :)
Where di you find this shock? The weight is really 700g more than a standard shaft?!

it really is. did you see the pic of the shock on the scale ? i was surprised by its weight. the heavy 500lbs coil also weighs a ton..
it is 250x75 which is also the longest rear shock i could find for ANY emtb

but i really think you should get a steel shaft model when looking at longer yoke frames..

i got the shock new but second hand from bikemarkt.de
i couldnt source a new one from shop, as the B1 model with steel shaft needs to be ordered thru a rockshox dealership as it not a shock thats sold a lot

My ohlins weight 230x65 with 434 coil weight 840 gram and ohlins 210x60 weight around 720gram so therefore if 250 should be somewhere 900 gram.

sorry but your shock does not compare

this shock has steel shaft,
HBO, rebound preload hsc lsc and a heavier spring and a different length.

your scale might also not be acurate enough to measure such a small weight ?

its s shock of a trail bike comparing to a DH specced shock

Bro it's Ohlins shock and it's has a stainless steel shaft n urs its only steel , are you sure ohlins it's a trail shock ? The scare it's just an estimate guide , i am not a weight winnie person.

here we are, I broke mine. If I buy it from the Markhor site, shipping to Italy will cost a lot. Can I buy it elsewhere? Or is there a compatible cover?

broke the plastic motor cover on a rock so order a few spare's when ordering your frame and Loctite the suspension pivot bolts as had one come loose and unscrewed, hope this helps...
The cover is very cheap, broke on the first hike in the alps and I don't even know how.
Sam didn't even respond to my email

Does this frame use it's own cover or is it the general bafang cover? If it's the general bafang cover they are not dirt cheap sadly :/ cheapest I found them was 15€ each. If someone knows where to get them cheaper let me know.

Unfortunately this frame does not use the original Bafang engine guard which in my experience has proven to be much more robust.

Buy directly from markhor website its dirt cheap

the problem is the shipping and the time to receive it....also the material is really cheap so even the new one would last very little

It's a shame because I'm very happy with the bike, I really like it, I haven't ridden my Levo since I got this one!

If me i will definitely buy 10pc since the shipping will be the same as 1 pc.

Yesterday I swap my Kun Lun with my friend Trek Rail ebike for a short distance, then swap my bike and suddenly I feel my bike front soo light.

Unfortunately, things are not like that. if you order 10 pieces on the site, add 130.00 euros for shipping costs to Italy. Pure madness.

You want go drive DH withe this carbon frame ? You wighte is more >70kg ?

If u need help buying from china at lower shipping price, PM me

Thank you for your availability, very kind of you.
I have been purchasing from Italy for years from Chinese sellers on platforms such as Aliexpress or directly from companies (Dengfu, SZZS) always paying reasonable shipping costs, unfortunately with this seller the conditions are clearly different.
I sincerely hope they revise their claims downwards in line with their competitors.
