I removed my shock to send it off to TF Tuned for a service. I couldn't help noticing that the lower mounting bolt had lost its black finish on the underside.

I measured it widthways at bang on 10mm diameter. But measured across the worn section it was 9.95mm, which is 0.05mm down on one side, which is less than 0.002" for those who think in old money. I don't think that is too bad after 4 years, and I intend to re-use it, but the other way up this time (and lots of grease). It occurred to me though that if one of these bolts was cheap, then it would be worth replacing it. My worst estimate was that it might cost as much as £15.

I downloaded a copy of the exploded diagram from the Merida archive (Merida eOne Sixty 9000, 2021). (The link was easy to find, but I can send a file copy to anyone that wants one).

Identifying the bolt was easy enough.
Merida Part Number: A2300000263
Item name: BOLT
Detail Information: M10 OD15 L64mm

Merida don't sell the bits so I contacted Leisure Lakes who are a dealer for Meirda. They quickly emailed me back to say that the item is not sold separately, but as part of a pivot kit for (wait for it....) £145!
I replied thanks for your swift reply, but no thanks.

I'm fairly sure that I could get some made for considerably less than that.:)

I would just put a shanked bolt and nut in its place. About £2 from eBay 👍
