Why are so many low mileage bikes appearing for sale?
Have started to notice a trend.
Most of these bikes have non transferable warranties so are they risky purchases?
Cheers

What’s the trend? I bought my ebike in June. Was cautious as to not over invest.....now I love it I want a new bike with better battery etc. It’s not a trend it’s a disease.

Maybe bought in lock down , work in hospitality or still furloughed and skint.
Don’t worry about warranty like at the history and condition. As the E-bike becomes more popular the 2nd hand market will grow.

I think you should care for warranty. I had a 2 month old Giant ebike that just stopped working, there was no solution. Basically, the bike was toast (new $6500). Without warranty, I’d lost it all.

I have to say that I'd be put off buying a second hand bike because of the lack of warrenty. Theyre a big purchase, and very expensive to fix, not if, but when, they go wrong. Due to that, it may work out cheaper to buy new.
