Lezyne Ebike Macro 1000 Front Light

Just installed this compact front light on my Nutrail, cost was only £59.99 from Merlin Cycles who also activated the light option for me, the required loom was about £11 from eBay plus a couple of heat shrink connectors.
Really happy with the set-up.View attachment 10822
Does the motor needs an update if I install one? Or is it just something that need to get activated?

The dealer just needs to select the voltage (12v) and toggle the light function on

I love my Lezyne Macro 1000, super bright. My 2020 Rail 7 already had the wiring inside.

I have this light installed on my Trek RAil 9.7. Great light for the price. The wiring is already installed on Trek bikes, you do need to have a LBS enable it in the software. I have done some trail rides and would also like a helmet light rather than a brighter handlebar light

Do I need to buy an additional bosch light cable? In the description there is no saying If you need a cable or not

Depends on the bike. Some (KTM) come with a pre-routed cable. Some need the Bosch plug that fits the motor light port. The light itself comes with a double core cable without any plug at the end.

Fitted one lezyne macro 1000 light yesterday. Man it was a pain to get this fitted. Had no space to route this cable where it needed to go. Had to drop the motor where there was also no place due the second battery cable and speedchip I had installed and barely could get the motor back in. Then evetually I had everything back in place and wanted to put my inframe battery back in and couldn't cuz of the light cable that I had to wire there....

Will get the light function activated today..

I have one installed on my 2021 RAIL 9.7. I was able to reach into the frame on the right side where the rubber plug is and using a hooked wire I pull the pre-installed light wire out

Definitely keen to fit one of these in around 6-8 months time when it starts getting darker here. Ive seen them for around that 60 Euro price down here in NZ. Love the fact the Trek's are pre wired for them

I fitted one to No2's bike last night (Giant Liv) with the wiring already there and the very helpful youtube video I found, took minutes to fit. Will be testing it out with her tonight.
