I'm currently riding a '22 Levo SL with the gen 1.1 motor. It's been a great bit of kit to ride though all the seasons and terrain Wales can throw at it, but I'm starting to find it's reliability frustrating. It's on it's 4th motor and 3rd TCU, plus numerous replacement cables, fortunately all replaced under warranty.

Does anyone have any advice on whether the newer generation Levo SL's are more weatherproof? Are there other SL's that seem to cope better with the rain and mud?

That's good to hear. Through my LBS, Spesh have just asked to take the bike back, replace the motor, TCU, battery and fully rewire it in their factory under warranty. Can't fault that.....

I’m on my third motor in 5 years but have done a total of 7000 miles, the third motor fitted at 6500 miles.
just recently bought a gen 2 so will see how that fares.

Surely it would be cheaper for them and better for you to just swap out the bike?!

My 2020 SL 1.1 model is at around 2300 miles, original motor and TCU, so fingers crossed!

They're probably wanting to go through it and see if they can figure out why it's lost so many components in 2 years of riding. The engineering team will be giving it a full inspection to see what they can do better.
