Not long since the Levo R was released and it will be interesting to see if it will be a popular Levo version.
Has anyone ordered an R?

Since I don't get any answers.
I have, getting it next week with 600wh battery and the new Specialized radial tires.
Can't wait to hang it up in the scale.

Post some pics and riding impressions... I am really keen on the R
I have read it's a very different bike so it would fit my use better.
In the end of the week or maybe next it's ready since 600wh battery was shipped a couple of days after the bike.

Just bought an R-Expert to pair with my regular S-Works Levo 4. I haven’t taken it out on the trail yet but I rode around the neighborhood and I noticed its speed and great rear suspension immediately. It gets up to speed quick and the rear suspension is very sensitive and active. I know it sounds weird but it rolls noticeably faster than my regular Levo. I got it to do more XC oriented riding so I’m gonna throw some Dubnitals on and then take it out. To my surprise, its definitely a different bike than the regular Levo. I really thought that, more or less, it was just going to be a Levo with a 29” rear wheel.

Pics!!

This is the best you’re gonna get at night. There’s an Amflow tucked in behind the R as well. It’s going to interesting to test the all out back to back.

That’s what I’m hoping. Want I replace my gen 2 which I love for the riding I do up on the highveld. I tried putting a 29er wheel on my gen 3 but it did not feel as good as the gen 2 setup.

What kind of discounts are they offering given the new pricing we've seen in the US?
None since US and Europe got different terms of sale and pricing, I got very surprised by the answer but when I got the whole answer it's understandable.
You ask yourself at V-C.

I had a chance to test ride both bikes back-to-back yesterday. My son is getting his first emtb as he's tired of me leaving him behind on climbs. 😜 He used to race XC and his team was sponsored by Specialized, so he likes that ecosystem and wants to stay within it.

I expected to feel more of a difference between them. You can tell they are from the same family. For example, my Pivot Ampd feels very different from either. This is not a bad thing. The people I know who actually own Levo's tend to love riding them. I personally preferred the R by a small margin. While I didn't to anything gnarly on a test ride, I did hop some curbs and whipped it around a bit. I thought the suspension was quite good and I didn't miss the extra travel in my 5 minutes.

Anyway, he decided to go with the Levo 4 over the R. That surprised me a bit since his default ride is a Specialized Epic. I guess from his point of view both are so far removed from what he rides that the differences between the 2 felt relatively minor and the Levo 4 was plenty maneuverable enough so why not go big.

He's ordering the S-works version today. With the recent price adjustments (thank you Amflow!) and a local Memorial Day sale, the S-works is actually substantially cheaper than mid-tier builds from most other builders. That's a sentence I never thought I'd type.
