Any thoughts on a resale market for a new & unused Gen 4 Levo genie shock?

I opted for an after-market shock, so I have an unsed shock sitting around.

This isn't meant to be a solicitation or want ad - I'll gladly post that later in the appropriate section.
I'm more curious if there is any need or market for this?

thanks

Post it and see, I would post both here and Pinkbike. I am sure someone would buy if the price is right, I mean who doesn't want a backup shock... rebuilds take time

The gen 4 Levo rear suspension is not very progressive, I have seen numbers posted of 18% to 21%….. no idea if they are real. The genie shock is pretty much a fox float x with additional large air can for the first 50% of the travel. The float x is already a very progressive air shock, with the large air can it’s even more progressive. Seems specialized decided that instead of making a rear suspension with a higher progressive curve, they put all the progression into the shock. If you have dreams of a coil or a big can air shock, my advice is forget it. Maybe keep the stock shock for when you kill the after market shock after a heavy bottom out. The genie shock is so progressive, mounting it on a bike with a more progressive suspension curve will feel like a walk of resistance as it goes through its travel…. Again, jmo

The progression is indeed very low, I calculated it and cascade got very similar results:

Yea, if cc is to be believed, the real progressive rate of the new Levo is 12%.. that really poor if you prefer the bottomless feel of a progressive suspension. I have really struggled making my ff Kenevo work with a ratio of 21% .

It's not to be progressive except for the last 20% of the stroke. It is meant to be linear the first 80% to get a plush feel. Then at the last 20% one of the damper flow valves gets blocked by the piston to become progressive enough to keep it from bottoming out. It works very well in that capacity. I put one on my Rift Zone which is not a very progressive frame and it performed well.

I'll buy it. How much do you want for it. My Evo would love it.
