• Warning!!

Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.

Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.

Hey. Since I got a new phone my 2019 levo assistance stops at 25kms even though I have a planet 3 installed. It worked perfectly before. I have a garmin speed sensor. Im assuming the bike is somehow getting information from the garmin to tell it to stop assisting when it reaches 25kms. Any ideas how to get it back to how it was? That is derestricted and the garmin showing the correct speed.
Thanks

Sorry for the late reply, but maybe you asked via email and it was solved in the meantime - this reply is more for posterity or anyone else Googling around. The way to solve the Garmin/Wahoo speed reading problems using the speed sensor from the bike (when the device is paired via BT/ANT+) is to simply set the wheel circumference in the Garmin to a value 3x larger than stock. So, if your bike has a 29" rear wheel and Specialized's motor is set to for example 2300mm circumference and you're using a single planet configuration of the PLANET3 (3.03:1 ratio), you would set the Garmin's wheel circumference to 2300x3.03=6969mm and then your Garmin can use the bike's speed sensor instead of GPS but it will display correct speed. If you're on a dual planet configuration (half the ratio at 1.515:1), you simply multiply your circumference by 1.515 and set that in Garmin.
