About 6 months ago my Levo started charging to 100% every time i plug it in. The app is still set to 80% limit and I've toggled the setting in an effort to get it to "stick" but it still charges to 100% every single time. I emailed Spec and they were less than helpful only telling to see my dealer.

I assume it could be a cell imbalance issue and it's going to 100% in an effort to get the cells back in balance.

Anyone had this happen before?

Thanks

Yup. I started ignoring it and just let it charge to 100.Then one day I was caught off guard at the trailhead because I had a long ride planned and it was only at 80%. Didn’t do anything I know of to fix it; the 80% just seemed to start working one day.

Wish I had more for you.

The cell balancing process can only be done with a 100% charge, this is probably why the BMS ignores your setting at 80%, and that's a good thing because otherwise the battery could be damaged. ;)

In fact, it's best to perform a full charge cycle every 10 cycles at 80%.
