Stripped all the parts and electronics off.

Stripped paint.

320, 600, 1000 grit and then buffing wheel.

Finished product. Stuffing the harnesses was the HARDEST task.

Nice ! The paint is crap anyway ... but this solution is something else . I was planning on to give my Trance a layer of black Hammerite or Rust'oleum.

Did you leave the polished alu raw or did apply clear coat ?

Polished aluminum raw. It forms a native oxide. Officially, all my bikes are now this finish (except the DH bike... that got chromed). I have a problem.

2022 E Reign Pro+ 2, Upgrades include 2022 ultimate fork innards, MRP coil shock w/progressive spring, 800w battery 190 dropper post, and a new frame. The original frame had a crack on the bottom of the down tube. Giant replaced it right away and I like the color even better. They also paid for the rebuild.
I love the coil and never have battery anxiety.

2023 Reign e+2 IN XL finally arrived after 8+ months waiting.
Reused 160mm cranks from previous bike, 32mm raceface stem.
Come with 200mm Dropper which was a nice bonus.
Still to fit 220 hs2 rotor and carbon bars

Really helped pedal strikes. Also like how it allows me to keep my feet closer together. Big thumbs up from me with no perceived downside.

I really enjoy my 2019 Trance E+ Pro 1(purchased 11-18}, only issues in almost 5 years is blew out rear hub twice and 1-bad battery all taken care of within warrantee period.

Out with the old (2021 Stance EMTB)

In with the new Trance X Advanced (Carbon Fiber frame, upgraded SRAM GX T-type transmission). First ride today on the new bike. The SRAM transmission is incredible, smooth and quiet shifting even under load (I tested it out ).
