LBS refusal to work on bikes they didn't sell?

Err, no. If you're trying to make a point it's completely over my head

A few of my local bike shops have gone onto the "never set foot into their shop again ever" list due to this.
Thank god I'm quite close to Berkshire bikes :D
 
We didn't buy ours locally due to availability as already mentioned but we have a Bike Hire business that is an hours drive that run a fleet of Trek ebikes so he has the Bosch software for updates that are done at a very reasonable rate and is also happy to help and carry out warranty work on the Bosch side of things but anything directly Trek related we would need to go back to were we bought from, say Frame issues but things like speed sensors & cables he keeps in stock.

So maybe a Bike hire place may be of help instead of a LBS,
