Kiox problem - keeps resetting after few seconds

Hi all,

I have a problem with my kiox. After like 5-7 seconds after start, kiox shuts down and starts again. It even does so when I take it of bike. Its hard even to turn it off. I already tried recharging bike, I even changed battery in bike for another I have, battery in kiox is full (it shows it), i cannot connect kiox to phone, cause it is restarting all the time. I dont know what to do. But what is weird, my motor is working without a problem and without stopping, even when kiox keeps restarting.

Did anyone have this problem? What can I do? The bike is exactly 2 years and 20 days old, so the 2-year warranty is gone...

No, thats not the problem

Have you tried getting you LBS to see if there’s a SW download, occasionally they glitch when new until the SW is uploaded. But you may have to buy a new one. Another thing to try is plug another kiox into your bike to see if it still does it, at least you can rule out the kiox if it’s still doing it with a replacement.

Hello, I had this happen today? Did you solve it or need to purchase a new controller. It had ridden fine this morning then after charging started just turning on and then after 4 seconds or so just reboots and repeats the cycle. Will do even when not mounted to the bike. Very weird!

What model Kiox? The older one with buttons or a Kiox 300? Have you tried resetting the kiox if it’s a 300 model?

It has a power and light button. Held the power button down for 10 seconds, turns it off but when I double click the power button button to turn back on it just goes back to the on and off cycle again. BUI 330 it says you on back.

Thank you do the help, seems something simple hopefully. Seems an issue with Kiox controller.

Thats the older Kiox. Try holding down both buttons for 20 seconds. If that doesn't work it will be a trip to the LBS or Bosch dealer as it maybe faulty.

Thanks JP. Have tried this now but unfortunately, we are still cycling on and off automatically. When googling new controllers I presume they just clip on and away they go again? Around $375NXD for just the controller.

I would visit an authorised bosch local store first. The maybe able to help with issues on it, rather than replace the whole thing.
